Fuchikashira signed "Issho Nakagawa Katsuyoshi" with NBTHK Hozon Tosogu. He was born 8 of March 1829 as a second soon of Nakagawa Katsutsugu. His younger brother was Nakagawa Shoami Katsuyoshi. Issho moved to Edo at 21 and there became a student of Goto Ichijō . In 1857 he received part of the name from his master "一" and became Nakagawa Issho. He was one of the best students of Goto Ichijō and a representative of Ichijō School. Died 6 of April 1876.
Made of shakudo with nanako ground with gold and silver inlay.
Decorated with plum blossom and Nightingales. Both are symbols of spring and happiness.
It is truly a beautiful and elegant piece.
