Shibuichi fuchikashira signed "Bokusen". According to Haynes Index he was active around 1775 and lived till he was 63. He is described as "Outstanding dilettante, of prolific production.". According to "The Japanese Toso Kinko Schools" by Markus Sesko he was actually a Samurai who did metalwork as a hobby. Signature itself looks authentic, few examples of his other work from "Toso Kodogu Meiji Taikei" by Wakayama are at the bottom of the page.

This set is made of shibuichi and decorated with gold, silver and copper iroe. Please take a special notice of the demons. Their design lis very interesting.

Made in Edo Period.
