Iron tsuba with carved text on the side. The text reads "Namu Myōhō Rengekyō". There are few translations of this there including "Devotion to the Mystic Law of the Lotus Sutra" or "Glory to the Dharma of the Lotus Sutra". Those words are chanted by the Nichiren Buddhist. Made of iron with carved kanji. No silver was used here, metalic colour of the Namu Myōhō Renge Kyō is iron without patina.
