Iron tsuba signed "Iwasawa Ryochin". He was a member of Aizu Schoami School active around 1800-1825.
Tsuba is decorated with waves and birds. Usually in this scene birds would be plovers. However those birds do not look like plovers at all. Therfore this tsuba reacquires further study. It could be Northern lapwing.
Made in late edo period.
