Daisho fuchikashira set signed "Ishiguro Masachika" with Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu. Masachika was active around 1825. Depending on the source material his master was either first generation Ishiguro Masatsune or Ishiguro Masahiro. He is well know for making superb quality kamon decorated tosogu.
This set is decorated with Kikkou Daki Omodaka Kamon. Kikkou is a tortuise shell design that is around the kamon. Kamon itself is Daki Omodaka, arrowhead plant in a shape that actually reassembles arrowhead around leafs. Daki Omodaka was used by Mori Clan that governed over Choshu province.
This set is made of shakudo with superb quality nanako ground. Kamon decorated with gold iroe.
