Dragon theme tsuka for katana. Saying that this tsuka has signs of old age is understatement. Iron fuchikashira is damaged to an extent that it is hard to see dragons among waves. On kashira we can only guess that he was there based on two faint whiskers and one gold eye. Above a place where his head was there is an round shape. It is impossible to say now if it is an inlaid moon or just a nail that keeps kashira in place.
This tsuka is seriously damaged but not only it is still beautiful but it also gives a very strong feeling of pure strength that allowed it to survive the passing time, when most of its peers are long gone....
Copper dragon menuki was once gilded but now there is almost no gold left.
Cloth tsuka ito is suprisingly tight.
Painted samegawa with few parts missing.
