In 1857 he received part of the name from his master \"一\" and became Nakagawa Issho. He was one of the best students of \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eGoto Ichijō and a representative of \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eIchijō School.
