Iron tsuba attributed to Futagoyama School with NBTHK Hozon Tosogu. This School was active in late edo in Owari, making tsuba after Nobuie, Yamakichibei, Yagyu etc.
This particular tsuba looks a lot like tsuba by Hata Naoaki who was also a late edo craftsman making tsuba after Nobuie using similar techniques. From my experience he would put much more effort into carving the rim so I do not think it was made by him. It is still worth looking at his pieces when studying this tsuba.
Size: 69 mm x 66 mm x 4 mm
Made in late edo period.
