Iron tsuba that according to NBTHK was made by "Tetsugendō Shōraku", with NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu. Shōraku civilian name was Toshiyuki and he belonged to Okamoto family. Initially his craftsman name was "Naoshige" but he changed it to Shōraku when he entered priesthood. He was the one that established the name Tetsugendo, taking from the name of his master workshop "Tetsu-ya". He died in 1780. 

Theme of this tsuba based on the NBTHK certificate is Ikuta Forest. However to be exact it most certainly is Kajiwara Kagesue fighting Taira forces in Ikuta Forest, which is an episode from a Genpei War. There are few woodblock prints that depict this scene in almost identical manner as shown on this tsuba.
