Iron tsuba decorated with a dragon. Please note that this tsuba is in rather poor condition and most probably was burned in the past. I suspect that originally the dragon was covered in gold. It is made of copper but right now is has a very strange colour. In strong light is looks a bit like shakudo, in poor light looks almost like it is made from the same material as the base of the tsuba. It is possible to restore the dragon and cover it whole with thick layer of gold, however it would cost additional 300-400 USD.
Made in late edo period.
Size: 78 mm x 71 mm x 4,5 mm
