Iron tsuba signed "Bushu Edo, Nara Toshinaga" with NBTHK Hozon Tosogu. Decorated with Shoki and demon under the bridge.
There where few artists named "Nara Toshinaga". Based on writing of the name we know that this tsuba was made by "Nara Toshinaga" who was a student of Toshiharu and master of famous "Nara Toshinaga" one of the "Three Great Nara Masters".
Based on "Nara Sansaku" by Yoneo maker of this tsuba was active between 1673 and 1704.
Technical description:
Tsuba is in tatemaru gata - slightly elongated round shape (72 mm x 69,5 mm)
Tetsu-Ji - base made of iron
niku bori ji sukashi - large areas of iron where cut and what remain constitutes a motif in itself, carvings are curved
zogan iroe - there is inlay and parts are gilded (there is silver, copper and gold inlay)
maru mimi - round rim
