Tsuba signed "Tamagawa Yoshihisa" with NBTHK Hozon Tosogu. There were two separate branches of Tamagawa School both run by students of Yatabe Michitoshi. First one was founded by Tsugutoshi, second one by Yoshihisa who was a son of Tsugutoshi younger brother. Yoshihsa was born in 1725 in Mito province, first he studied under Tsugutoshi and later with his maset Michitoshi. All masters of this branch of Tamagawa School took the name "Yoshihisa" including 6th and last generation, who was born in 1854.
