Tsuka with edo period iron fuchikashira decorated with flowers. This is a beautiful set with great patina. Crab menuki, they might be a modern made cast. It is difficult to be sure when they are under ito. Very tight leather tsuka ito. Good quality modern samegawa.
Iron tsuba decorated with gold inlay and carving. Tsuba is signed "Kanesada" and made by Shoami School. Unfortunately we have no data to compare the signature or the style of this tsuba against other works of Shaomi Kanesada. Please not that there where many tsuba makers that signed with this name. There was however just one that worked in Shoami group and signed with those kanji. He was active around 1700.
