Kozuka decorated with a landscape. On the foreground there is a bit of land with what looks like damaged tree trunks and reeds in the back. There is also a single empty boat. After the first view we have a vast see with waves, after them clouds and mountain peaks in the distance. Altogether it creates really beautiful picture. I would encourage to look at this piece like it is a painting not a sword fitting.
Made of sentoku with shakudo, gold and silver inlay.
This kozuka would probably get a general attribution to Nara School, however I think it has hints of Otsuki School works.
This piece has many signs of wear. There are some damages and dents.
Made in late edo period.
