Shakudo daisho fuchikashira signed "Shokotei Katsufusa" with NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu. Katsufusa was born in Mito in 1798. He belonged to Hagiya family but was a student of Shinozaki Katsushige, same as his younger brother Hagiya Katsuhira. It is said that Katsufusa was actually teaching his younger brother and was his first master. Katsufusa died in 1868.
Fuchikashira is decorated with scenes from Battle of Yashima (1185) with scenes from "The tail of Heike". Like Nasu No Yoichi hitting the fan at the top of Taira clan boat.
