Shakudo nanako fuchikashira decorated with harvest scenes. There exist almost identical fuchikashira with ishime ground signed "Nara Shigemitsu". I think there is a very good chance that this is also work of Nara Shigemitsu.
Made of shakudo with nanako ground. Decorated with copper, gold, shibuichi and silver inlay. With gold iroe.
Craftmanship of this piece is very interesting. For example on the back side of fuchi there are two roofs. One is covered with gold iroe and small pieces of gold inlay. The other one is made of shibuichi with gold inlay. Colour of the gold inlaid in shibuichi is the same as gold iroe on the other roof, different than color of the inlaid gold. To bring it all together leafs just over the roofs are made of two types of gold that was used on roofs and copper, the same colour as trunks of the nearby trees. It gives the piece very natural feeling.
