Shakudo nanako kozuka signed Gotō Mitsuhira with "Kao", civilian name of Gotō Tenjō, 17th head of mainline Gotō School (Shirōbei-Line). He was born in 1835 and at the age of 18 succeeded as 17th and last head of mainline Gotō School. He passed away in 1879.
This kozuka was awarded NBTHK Hozon Tosogu.
Decorated with running water and shells.
Made in Edo period.
