Shibuichi tsuba signed "Arai Hidetoshi" with NBTHK Hozon Tosogu. It is in tatemaru-gata so in vertically elongated round shape. Made of shibuichi, alloy of copper and silver. Surface has been polished (migaki ji). Rim is kaku-mimi ko-niku, so round but rather flat surface.
Carvings are made with sukidashi bori technique. This means that large parts of the material was removed with chisels or hammered away. And what remained was shaped with finer chisels.
According to the certificate theme of this tsuba is Sheep (羊), however the same kanji may refer to other caprine animals, like goats. It is also possible that this tsuba depicts Japanese Serow:
