Tsuka decorated with flowers. On fuchikashira plum blossoms flowing down a river. Flowers take much more space than what we are used to. They resemble famous Yasuchika daigaku shape plum blossom tsuba. Because of their size in composition it makes me feel like I am very close to them, sitting just on a shore of this turbulent river on a sunny spring day. On one menuki there is a branch with still unopened flower, on second one already open flower in a basket used to keep them at home. In other words one branch was removed from a tree and brought home to help remember the feeling of this impressionable spring day.
