Suaka tsuba signed "Manshoken Yoshichika". According to Haynes Index he was active around 1800. I could not find any additional information about this maker.
Tsuba showing dragon during storm. Both wind and waves are carved in such a way that I almost feel the storm coming out of this piece.
Made of suaka or possibly Hiiro-doo. This are both alloys of pure copper. With shakudo, silver and gold inlay and gold iroe.
Because of flash photography colour of this tsuba is a bit more vivid than in real life.
Made in Edo Period.
